2018: I’m a user of Procreate, a fabulous drawing app for the iPad. One of the great features is that you can create your own brushes using custom shapes and/or textures.
I’m having a great time making brushes to use in my own illustrations and hand-lettering, and I’m delighted to share them with anyone who wants them. Check ’em out below — you can click on any preview in the gallery below to get a closer look!
(Note: These are .BRUSH files, which will only work with Procreate. You can download them and then either put them in Dropbox, or email them to yourself. On the iPad, click on the file either in Dropbox or in your inbox, and select “Open in Procreate.” Or if you’re already in Procreate, tap on the brushes menu, tap the plus sign in the upper right, then tap “Import” in the upper right. Navigate to where you’ve saved the .BRUSH file, and tap on it to load it in!)
Also note: These brushes were built in 2017 and 2018, several versions of Procreate ago. They’ll still work, but they don’t have some of the newfangled bells and whistles.
Download all (or any specific ones you like) at Dropbox. Click here!
The images below are examples of each brush. These are not clickable links. Please visit the full Dropbox folder for all brushes!
There is no license document accompanying these brushes. You can use them for any project you want, and you’re free to sell the artwork you create. Just don’t resell or redistribute the brushes themselves.
